Clare Jackson

Advisor, Coach and Supporter

I’ve always been good at helping people overcome obstacles to unleash their potential, and indeed that’s what I am privileged to do in my job as a Life Coach. When I met Paul in 2011 he was already an accomplished Storyteller.

So when he showed me the map of Elsewhere he’d drawn when he was just 23 and told me he’d given up on writing the story all those years ago, I had no doubt that he now had the skills he needed to bring that world to life, and encouraged him to have another go. Neither of us had any idea of the enormity of the task ahead, but I just knew this was important and I needed to support him however I could. We also had no idea of all the obstacles Paul would need to overcome, nor of all the other skills he would need to develop to get the work out there. But he’s done it all! He has completely busted the myth that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, and I am so proud of him, and so inspired by his unfaltering commitment to what we now recognise is his legacy work. There have been many highs and lows along the way, and in addition to being the catalyst for the writing proper to begin, my role has been to hold the vision when times get tough and help Paul find his way through. After many years as his sole support, sounding board, brainstorming partner and confidante, I am delighted that the team has expanded and Elsewhere is beginning to spread its wings and fly!
