Amongst the trees in the elvish city of Elvorn, Findorian, the King who will not be king, is in audience with the elvish folk from one of the many Bower Villages that spread amongst these huge boughs of the Giant Trees known as the 900. Here a local tree councillor of great repute is making his point to his two visitors and and in particular to the Chief councillor and Rod Bearer to the Cities Parliament~known as the Communion. The topic being fear, and in particular, what was to be done about The Lord of the Shadows.
