This illustration was created over four weeks. I used a digital set of canvas and bushes because the scene was incredibly complex. My intention was to depict a moment of absolute magic. Here, the locks of the Map are suddenly released by Findorian, the young elvish prince, and the Map's secrets spill out into the room, as well as the Golden Thrush and the voice of the ghost of Gallamarr, maker of the map for Findorian, a map she created twelve hundred years before he was born.
